I do not like any theme park rides and I see these from time to time. They all make me nervous and I can’t see the fun of making yourself go fast or scary rides, creates dizziness and makes me feel sick. I don’t get ‘the fun’ of these things.
As I recall, this is a simple train ride through the country at 20-30 mph.
This ride is quite enjoyable.
1) This was a 5mph steam train ride, not a roller coaster.
B) You must be the life of the party on trips in the car.
“I don’t get ‘the fun’ of these things.”
Well, either you’re an adrenaline addict and you can’t get enough, or the adrenaline response makes you feel sick and you want to avoid it whenever possible. There doesn’t seem to be much middle ground between those two types.
I’m 68 and I’m with you. However, when I was younger I loved them. It was a slow progression to the way I feel about them now and I think it started when I was around 40. I get all the excitement and want now driving my sports car around the twisties of Kentucky and drifting from time to time.
I just got back from WDW. Loved Guardians of the Galaxy, Rockin’ Rollercoaster, the mining mountain rollercoaster, and Tower of Terror, Test Track. As long as the are well maintained often inspected, they should be ok, and I love them.
BTW, I’ll be 72 soon.
This is a kids’ ride! Nothing fast about it. The pretend “stick up” is by a bunch of park-employee hillbillies and is basically a series of Dad-jokes aimed at the 6- to 9-year-olds riding with their families.
There must have been a wash-out under the tracks or something. It’s a nice, relaxing train ride through the woods - not a seat belt on the benches, and none needed (until this...)
