I’m from South Dakota and travel distances there are long and chargers for EVs are few. Pity the fool driving an EV during a typical South Dakota winter and running out of charge in the middle of nowhere when temperatures are way below zero. At least they might keep warm for a while if their EV catches fire.
Like hurricane evacs from the Gulf Coast and Florida, I’d urge EV owners to have towing brackets on the front bumper so diesel pickups can pull them in times of crisis.
