irst Lady Dr. Jill Biden is a pro at pulling off polished and elegant outfits no matter the occasion. Not only does she carry out her duties as FLOTUS with grace, but she also continues to teach English and writing classes at Northern Virginia Community College. With this in mind, it’s easy to see why her sartorial go-to pieces fall into the workwear category. One of the most notable items in the first lady’s regal wardrobe is her collection of dresses, which Biden often wears (and rewears) over the years. Her favorite styles all possess an elevated, timeless quality with a professional feel, which works out perfectly for both the classroom and the White House.
For those who pay close attention to Biden’s public appearances, you’ll know that the first lady’s style is virtually synonymous with botanical prints. (For evidence, look to one of her most beloved garments: The lemon print dress from Oscar de la Renta, which she wore at least three times since March 2021.) Upon closer examination, though, you’ll discover an array of looks that reveal her trend savvy mindset — think knit, leather, and sequin dresses. Ahead, see a tight edit of the FLOTUS’ trusty dresses and how she styles them for work.(snip)
FLOTUS knows that sequins can instantly add a little pizzazz to any outfit. So, she always keeps her glitzy Ralph Lauren dress (pictured above) on hand for her nighttime engagements. Earlier this fall, in September 2022, she wore the knee-length garment to the “A Night When Hope and History Rhyme” event. No surprise here, but Biden also wore this very same dress to several black-tie dinners in the past.

That’s a great look...on an 18 year old going to prom.
All of this requires willful suspension of disbelief.
Hard to believe someone would let her out of the barn looking like that.
Excellent point!
Our friends with the internet search engines scrub everything that is not entirely flattering for Dr. Jill. I happened to remember the original source. Now I have it saved.
I feel sorry kinda for her after seeing the picture above, that is pitiful.
Brandon was napping in the basement.
I’m expecting her to bring out her French maid’s outfit anytime now.
Then shouldn't she be wearing a pinafore and Mary Jane shoes?
no vajazzles???
This is a classic “the emperor wears no clothes” article. My goodness, we went from a true classy and well-dressed first lady that the fashion magazines refused to write about or photograph, to this? I swear, one of Dr. Jill’s recent outfits was made from the same material as my late grandmother’s living room curtains.
Sycophantic article.
I’ve only seen one or two pictures of Dr. Jill Alice Cooper Biden where she didn’t look disheveled. And it always seems like the clothes are wearing her. With her money and good figure for a 70+ year old, she could be a real fashion icon, especially for older women.
Dr. Jill Alice Cooper Biden has poor taste in fashion and poor fashion sense. She also seems like she’s trying too hard.
Which ends up being tragic for table, sofa and drapery fabrics.
There ain’t enough beer in America to get me that drunk . Say yuck three times .
Would look better if she wore hose and pumps. Bare legs aren’t that flattering.
I’ve always disliked seeing a elderly woman try to dress as a teenager. It’s a bad look. Her legs and arms should be covered in order to hide the baggy arms and knobby knees. I realize that’s a catty thing to say about another women, but there are so many styles that would complement her body shape and age. A teen style is not it.
