I’m the exact opposite- the Rose Bowl is one of the most beautiful places to se a game and if you take the correct route you turn the corner and see the stadium sitting in front of the mountains.
If you take the wrong turn at the Colosseum you take your life in your hands. Plus the running track makes the seats further away from the field than usual.
Though the USC cheerleaders have the edge over UCLA
My daughter goes to OSU- Thee Ohio State University
I used to live in Arlington back in the mid 80s, but worked in Dallas at the Health science center there next to Parkland. Had a very good friend that lived in Denton. It looked like a nice community back then. I guess it’s all grown up since then. Everything has.
My oldest graduated from tOSU. Good school.
Denton is very liberal now, unfortunately.
Or as we called it back in 2007, The University of Florida at Columbus.
Yes- but getting expensive for us out of staters.
My daughter loves it there. Made a rare get out of bed before the crack of noon on the weekend so she could go to the game, and pre-game parties.
I did not know that. I thought it may have been torn down at some point. There was a time when they had the State Fair there. That’s when I would get a chance to go inside the place, well sort of.
Urban still goes back there to get laid.
LOL, no doubt.
I still think Urban will be coaching at Notre Dame next year.

Lol, I hear you! Early game days are a lot of fun.
Cbus is a great place to live. Inexpensive and family friendly. Raised our kids there.
Luke Fickell- its amazing he hasn’t gotten a big time job despite UC opening the checkbook.
My dad went to Michigan so I spent a few years in Ann Arbor as a kid. Lived and died with “Meeechigan Football” growing up.
They’re still my second team, behind Florida.
We were there for the Oregon game last year and stayed in Powell- enjoyed it thoroughly. I wanted to go to the Notre Dame game this year but was told by my daughter, through my wife, it probably wasn’t a good idea.
Well wouldn’t be the first coach from UC Notre Dame has gotten.
You have no idea how similar Gainesville and Columbus are. I didn’t know that when we moved there in 1989. Took me a couple of years to understand why the Buckeyes were the lead in the newspaper every day, even in the off-season. Even though it’s the state capital, they really only think of themselves as a college town. I didn’t fit in until I understood that fact. Then I embraced it, because well, I was outnumbered as a Gator fan. My niece came to visit one year before Meyer came to coach. She wanted to wear her Gator gear on campus one evening. We told her she would not make it home in one piece if she did that, same as if someone wore Buckeye gear in Gainesville. Mutual hatred but I love both teams.
Actually I went to the game here in Dallas when Florida played Michigan a few years ago.
Michigan killed ‘em. And the amount of money I spent on tickets and parking left a bitter taste in my mouth.
I promise not to hold that against you, if you can handle a Gator first, Buckeye second pal.
That’s fine.
I actually have the highest respect for Woody Hayes, despite how his career ended. Nothing will ever surpass the “Ten Year War” between Woody and Bo.
