I hate this guy.
He is responsible for writing up legislation that cancels ALL local zoning laws in the state of California - the governor signed the bill the day after he beat a recall (unfortunately!).
It is now legal to build up to four residences on ANY give lot anywhere in the state, more if it’s close to “transit.”
It allows apartment building on land once zoned for businesses or even recreation - a large 92-unit apartment building is going up in a once-historic area in my town, the city lost in court.
This is to destroy single-family home neighborhoods and move in more Section 8.
I’m with you re Wiener. He is the most destructive man in CA bar none. How one homo man can end single family housing zoning for 40 million people is beyond me. He is going to destroy every nice neighborhood and town over the next 20 years.
Our town on the peninsula was founded around 1910 and incorporated 1952. From the beginning it had a strict two story height limit. The developers got their hooks into the city council and ruined a lot of the town. Now one developer wants a five story building on Main Street which is all still two stories. The city lost in court.
