Cha Young Min was in love with Jang Se Jin when he was a young doctor, but she left for the states without saying goodbye. When he goes into a coma, she comes to the hospital for her father but discovers Cha. Taking leave from her US hospital, she stays to take care of Cha, eventually discovering that he exists as a ghost beside her. It's that or the young resident whose body he can occupy, Go Seung Tak, has a peculiar penchant for talking to himself. Given that Go has a girlfriend, we're talking major relationship confusions between the four of them.

You are right, it's hard to understand. I looked it up, it was originally written as “funky” not happy. It makes a bit more sense when you think funky in a 60’s way.
