1 - I was divorced many years ago. Even so, one night I had a dream that some unseen entity was hitting and pinching me. The dream was uncomfortable. The entity, which was clearly female, said "Why did you divorce our baby?". I told her that her baby didn't like me to touch her, and would push me away when I made advances. Immediately the tension released; and, she said "Oh, the old VanAll trait. Sorry". I woke up with a cold sweat. About 10:00am my ex-wife called to tell me that her grandmother passed away during the night.
2 - Several years later I had a dream that a male entity was punching me. It said "Why did you divorce my baby?". I told the reason. The tension was again released, and he said "Oh. She is just like her mother". I woke up with a cold sweat. The next morning my ex-wife called to tell me that her father had passed away during the night.
3 - Three years ago my younger brother passed away. A month or so later he appeared in a dream, and we had a short but great conversation. Then he told me that his widow had a terrible time yesterday. She will call you at 9:00am for help. Be there. The dream dissolved. At 9:00am the following morning she indeed called.
Actually, I can go on and on like this. It is entirely possible for you to communicate with them; but, it must be in a dream for me. I won't initiate such contact.
Fascinating dreams you’ve had.
I have had some. One of an airliner trying to land and people at a party in my childhood home’s backyard telling me “Calm down. Pilots know more than you do. They may land it here in the yard.” I couldn’t be consoled. “It’s going to crash.” The next day (old printed days) an afternoon newspaper had huge headlines of one of the very first jumbo jet crashes with all dead that morning.
Another that I had to drive with my wife across a dam on a waterfall and almost slipped down into the water. I could hear people’s voices reflected on the water.
The next day we went to her grandmother’s 80th birthday party at a Detroit steakhouse. On the way there was a sgtretch where a big rainfall in the morning had left a long area of freeway totally flooded. We all had to stop and wait to have police let us back out to the past ramp. I heard the reflected voices as in the dream again. And saw two cars with bold drivers who tried to push through but were stuck in the flood and had to be rescued.
In the Prophets nearly always the discussion is about a message in a dream.
Numbers 12:6-8 (ESV)
And he said, “Hear my words: If there is a prophet among you, I the LORD make myself known to him in a vision; I speak with him in a dream. Not so with my servant Moses.
Then all the many dreams of Joseph (Genesis one and the one with Mary later) and the predictions and warnings by Jeremiah, Isaiah and others.
