I get it. Another self-appointed spokesperson who thinks history began when she was born. Like narcissistic people of every generation since idk, ancient greece.
We were also the last generation to learn how to drive a “stick”(manual transmission) car.
Agreed. Every generation has its impacts. Good, and Bad.
Using pliers to change channels because somebody broke the knob.
People of each generation complain but Generation X has the tragic distinction of being the first generation to be targeted with legalized abortion.
Using a coat hanger for a UHF antenna because the rabbit ears broke off.
I read an article that said the early millennials were more like Gen X and didn’t even like the Millennial nonsense.
They were alright, until so many of them forgot Nancy Reagan’s advice to “just say no to drugs.”
The dude at my work we called Millennial was not some woke d-bag.
He was more like us. We were Philly IBEW guys.
If my oldest son had been born in 1964, we would have both been baby boomers. I keep reminding him how old he's getting.
My friend worked at a company and her boss would always say, “I’m a Millennial, so I...” But she looked into it and he was born in 1977 and wasn’t a Millennial. But he pretended to be a Millenial. Most likely because employers treat Millenials the best. [And Gen X the worst.]
I’ve never owned anything but a stick. I did my research and found the make and model of the car I wanted in January when my car died. I found out they stopped making it in stick 2 years ago.
So I bought a used one that was - of course - stick.
On a side note, stick shift is only dying in America. 85% of the cars sold in Europe are stick shift. In fact most of the rest of the world drives stick shift. Its only in North America where automatics are so dominant (95%).
Progressive bullshit is timeless, apparently.
Steve Dallas is amused.
Did the Xers learn to write in cursive? Or were the boomers the last to learn it?
I made boomer by less than 3 weeks.
Whew!
That job I spoke of, I was rode like a horse.
I didn’t get more pay, just more, and the worst, jobs given to me.
Excelling in a union job is pointless.
I’m no longer union.
Why would you thank the God who said be fruitful and multiply for not blessing you with grandchildren? The world may be getting worse in the macro sense but at the level of eating and being fairly safe inside your home the world has never been better than it is right now. The crap that people worry about would be inconsequential if they lived in India or Somalia.
