Not a good idea. Seeing the immense distances, and the obvious fact that it would require many generations of space travelers to complete the trip, I say “ditch it.” If they ever arrived, there would be no way to communicate effectively with Mother Earth.
Why bother? If the human race goes extinct, then it was meant to be.
This brings to mind the ending of the movie, “Don’t Look Up!”.🙂
There might be indigenous primitive life forms to exploit! Why would anyone want to miss that opportunity?
