Personal note - I carried the “Peloponnesian War” in my backpack one summer at maneuvers/bivouac. I read it through then. Yes, crazy, as we were exhausted all the time. I was young though, and I read very, very fast. But it brought that all to life.

Yes, I wrote a paper on the Peloponnesian War in college that earned me an A.

And I don’t really need “war” FReepsplained to me. I spent the better part of nine years in a war zone, some of it dealing with cost and budgetary aspects.

My comment stands. Ukraine is doing an awful lot of “gimme dat”-ing. Tucker Carlson was spot on about that.
