I think it’s amusing that these constant stories about how awful it is to travel across country in EVs are never about Teslas. The Tesla supercharger network is a big part of their success. They are fast and work about 98% of the time. A Model Y takes 22 minutes to charge from 20% to 80% at a Tesla supercharger. Other charger networks like Electrify America are far fewer, much slower and don’t work about 30% of the time.
the problem right now is that you aren’t traveling to your destination but from supercharger to supercharger. No ability to randomly alter your trip on a whim. And no way to carry any extra fuel for emergencies.
