And being brave, persistent and never wants to give up, he decided to try the same trip that winter ... they are still looking for him.
Ah.. yes... A few months ago we drove from Sacramento to Denver, and then back again later. Of special note was the hundreds of miles in the Great Salt Lake basin, and hundreds of miles in Wyoming. I kept track, and did not see any EVs on the Salt portion, and none during the Wyoming time. Each time, when we ‘charged’ our SUV with wonderful hydrocarbons, it took about 5 minutes each time.
Perhaps we should develop C02 Plant Food Awards. To the person, family, and company that enhances the Green Earth. It would be an opportunity to reintroduce and teach The Carbon Cycle. The more C02, the more green is our planet. Cutting back C02 is starving the plant world. Perhaps we need The Society For The Protection of The Plant Kingdom.
There only good for around town….forget states west of the Rocky Mountains
My golf vw diesel got about 48 to 52 mpg regularly in this hilly country
I know that. 25 miles per hour charge rate is like filling your gas tank at 1 gallon per hour. Electric can fill while you are sleeping. Still not practical for long trips.
the problem right now is that you aren’t traveling to your destination but from supercharger to supercharger. No ability to randomly alter your trip on a whim. And no way to carry any extra fuel for emergencies.
