I know there are large segments of the black population that use it regularly, and that’s the point I am making.

You can’t have any self respect if you address yourselves and others that way.

You want others to respect you, you have to show respect for yourself first, and there is a very large segment of the black population that shows absolutely no respect for themselves.

Changing the er to a soft a, doesn’t make this term “complimentary”... Imagine if you will whites walking around referring to each other as cracka and honky in casual context.. Or asians or other groups just calling each other softened racial slurs.. Other groups don’t do this because they realize its disrespectful, and if they can’t respect themselves they won’t be respected by others.

Sadly a large segment of the US black population is fed a bunch of nonsense by entertainment and the media, both black and white run BTW, that this is somehow a good thing...

It’s not.

Well on that, I think you’re confusing the “compliment”... He wasn’t using nigga as the compliment. It was the prefix before it...
