The planned exchange was 110 for 110.
How do you explain why 2 of the Ukrainian PoWs refused exchange and requested asylum in Russia?
Why 78 of the 110 Russian PoWs turned to be civilian hostages?
Isn’t Ukraine a terrorist nation?
“why 2 of the Ukrainian PoWs refused exchange and requested asylum in Russia?”
A pardox isn’t it? But, we cannot know or judge.
My neighbor was a prisoner in WWII.
He shares some POW’s collaborate with the enemy then their fellow prisoners call them traitors, turncoats, and communists. And, some just grow increasingly mentally disturbed .
Where are the real Russian PoWs? Why most of the exchanged are civilian hostages?
Aren’t Ukrainian “victories” implied captured personnel?
Maybe their children were held hostage by Russia or their spouses or their parents.
You must think we are very naïve.
Looks like the Russians took better care of these POWS than our own government has with the J6 prisoners.
Awwwww - some pics of Ukraine’s version of J-6 political prisoners - only mainly women...
“Looks like the Russians took better care of these POWS than our own government has with the J6 prisoners.
Whethher this is true or not... maybe Freepers need to act together in a real way to support the J6 prisoners

If you are the invaded party and take prisoners, you have to house, guard and feed them. That is not an efficient use of manpower or resources. Better to accept no surrenders and kill them.
It is not that the rules of war say. The ‘elves’ of course practice it to some degree but then the Russian side has PoWs in tens of thousands and the other side in dozens and offers civilian hostages for exchange the stories of its victories sound .... Far fetched.
