typical twitter exchange
It’s all in how the question is asked.
We haven’t had real polling for several decades now, at least not publicly available. Someone is always pushing an agenda, and that agenda is consistently liberal and now, globalist.
The left never had to defend abortion, since SCOTUS decided to take it out of the political arena with Roe. Now that it’s back as a political topic, they are actually going to have to make their case, and even with the media blockade, the pro-life argument is going to reach almost everyone, eventually.
They CAN’T defend things like partial-birth abortion, late-term abortions etc. because those things are indefensible. No one supports that stuff.
Politicians (and political parties) that make a principled stand for life will be rewarded in most jurisdictions in the US. California and the northeast states will be outliers, but most of the rest of the country will look a lot different, IMHO.
The only demographic that gives majority support to liberal abortion laws are young men.
Women have led the pro-life fight at least since Roe was decided.
It’s the economy stupid….
Bingo!
But, but, but.... VA...GY...NAHHHHH!
If it's okay for convicts on death row to have years of appeals before sentence is carried out, it seems fair that an unborn child who has not had a chance to commit any crime gets a voice.
In times of affluence and safety, access to abortion may be high on women’s lists.
When a girl is afraid for her safety or her being able to eat, she wants Daddy. And the Republicans are the Daddy party.
Not creative and not smart. It reflects how far out of touch the rat party and its strategists have drifted. Real surveys, which ask people to volunteer what issues matter to them, show abortion well down on the list. ‘Rats think it is the biggest issue because it is a sacrament of their religion.
If independent women are going for the GOP then it’s over for the Democrats. Just cheating can get them over that hill.
LOL, this is an academic discussion for Yamiche Alcindor; will never affect her personally. I see what you are implying here, LOL.
What comic book character is this?
Exactly. So the distraction issues they want to run on don’t work because everyone is being slammed by inflation, crime, fentanyl, etc.
That’s Tom Hardy playing “Bane”.
I comes up with me. It's child sacrifice.
LOL, good one.
What’s that thing over his mouth?
Ad you can tell I unfamiliar with modern comics.
Not really sure about all of the character’s backstory, tbh.
Tom Hardy played the character with a chilling sense of nihilistic dread, and there’s a famous line where he’s abducting another character where Bane says “Calm down, Doctor! Now’s not the time for fear. That comes later. “
Here’s the IMDB page for the picture.

The most vocal women who really care about abortion live in blue states where it is not threatened and where their vote is meaningless.
Poll after poll has shown that abortion is not an important issue as the economy, crime and immigration.
Oh cmon. I said “republican supporting” because I full well know they are anti-Trump. They were founded by Buckley and endorsed Cruz in 2016. They endorse and promote Republicans, not necessarily conservatives.
I don’t want to stick up for them. I think they’re a lot of anti-Trump mushy moderates for the most part. And I don’t really like them. Perhaps they ARE left leaning. But to say “yahoo news” is reporting this is wrong.
But the “source” of this was listed as “yahoo news”. My point is that the ACTUAL source is National Review. So people saying “if yahoo news is reporting this, things must be bad”, should be aware that Nat Review wrote the cited article.
