The artist formerly known as Kanye West could face a lawsuit from the family of George Floyd for spreading the incorrect and unproven narrative that he died of a drug overdose during his wildly controversial Drink Champs podcast appearance.
Civil rights attorney Lee Merritt posted on Twitter Sunday that a lawsuit against Ye is under consideration based on the disgraced artist’s “false statements about the manner of his death.”

At least they add "unproven" to "incorrect". When it come to Trump's claims of a stolen election, the media have long since abandoned "unproven" and now routinely describe these claims as "false".

Floyd self admitted “hooping” drugs that day before he was on the ground. It seems to me that “hooping” that means that the drugs are going up the rectum would have different effects than stomach ingestion. I don’t think that was explored by the defense or would have been allowed. IMHO the cops were going to jail no matter what. (Show me the police officer and I’ll show you the crime.)
