What is Comrade Bernie crying about? Kroger is woke as hell.
I agree with Bernie for once
Does this guy actually do anything other than complain or moan about things. Has he accomplished anything other than a big paycheck?
Bernie, bud, under socialism there’s only one grocery chain.
One thing is for sure: politicians and bureaucrats on both sides of the merger are going to make out like the bandits they are.
As long as Kroger doesn’t hire managers who have Sander’s total lack of business ability and intelligence, it’s far better than having a food company run by DemocRATs. As for them being woke, well, we’ll have to take care of that.
Bernie burned all his bridges with conservatives years ago.
““At a time when food prices are soaring as a result of corporate greed, it would be an absolute disaster to allow Kroger, the 2nd largest grocery store in America, to merge with Albertsons, the 4th largest grocery store in America,””
Corporate greed is bad but Senatorial greed is good? Do I have it right Bern? I mean, a Senator who gets a new dacha every time he blows a primary for the POTUS nomination should know greed when he sees it.
And Princess Gray Beaver 🦫, she made a fortune flipping wigwams that her less fortunate tribesmen couldn’t afford to keep. But that isn’t greed is it Skinny Lizzy.
Bernie needs to explain why. That industry is one of the most competitive in the country.
Bernie is mad he didn’t buy stock like his buddies
Since socialists are liars I wonder what Sanders’ true angle is?
Neither chain has a good produce or bakery section. I much prefer HEB.
What the hay? The wife and I can’t afford food anyway. We split our income between our meds and gas to see the grandkids. Our pharmacist assures us that there are plenty of calories in our meds.
After all...
The only thing that would satisfy communists like Bernie is for the government to own ALL the grocery stores...
Controlling the food is a key goal of these stinking american-communist bastards...
This creates a scenario that makes the number of stores that need to be "closed," go away. In addition, completion will remain.
I would like to see someone ship groceries to homes, Walmart has almost entirely given up on it.
Walmart just quit shipping the vast majority of its foods, they are now for pickup only or door delivery in appropriate areas.
Bernie’s just pissed that he didn’t get another house out of the deal.
Maybe the “Big Guy” didn’t get his 10%?
I don’t profess to have the answer to this, but I wouldn’t look to Bernie for answers. So completely forget what Bernie says. The capitalist in me says competition is good. It creates lower prices, wider variety and better quality. On the other hand, there is such a thing as economies of scale. That can reduce prices if there still completion. If there is no competition, economies of scale solely increases profits.
If only Bernie cared this much about the consolidation of media companies.
