I first went to Nashville in 1988 as our company had a convention there and we rented the Ryman Auditorium. At that time, Nashville was a sleepy kind of town (compared to today) that was just before the modern country explosion with the likes of Clint Black, Randy Travis, Alan Jackson and Garth Brooks. Back then, my then hometown of Boston did not even have a country station on the FM dial.

Been there several times since and I am always amazed at how much bigger it got since last time I was there. It's definitely a fun place but getting very expensive and just a block or two away from the action, you run into the poverty stricken, crime ridden areas that you get in most major cities these days. Traffic is horrendous as well. Last time there, I just used Uber and it was a much better way to get around then to rent a car and hunt for the expensive parking spots.

Yeah , Nashville is famous for its crazy traffic
and drivers . One of the DJ’s there cut a record
called ... “Drive like a Nashvillian” ... sung to
the tune of “ Walk like an Egyptian “
