No thanks...I lasted about two pages in Solzhenitsyn. All of the Russian names confused the heck out of me.
I'm a fan of long novels, such as Atlas Shrugged, the Kent Family Chronicles, Once an Eagle, and Michener's Texas. I just don't dig Russian novels.

No thanks...I lasted about two pages in Solzhenitsyn.I tried to make it through The Gulag Archipelago but ultimately it was just too depressing.
Never made it through Anna Karenina and never attempted War and Peace.
Dotoyevsky was easier, Crime and Punishment anyway.
Someone once described Russians as a dour people inclined to suicide yet capable of the occasional great novel or symphony.
