I get your sentiment, but I was curious, so I looked it up. Her father's wikipedia page claims her father is Abruzzese (middle of Italy) and Genovese (north western coast). The mother's last name was Lombardi, which if it means her people were from Lombardy, it is a northernmost province, abutting Switzerland. But her parents were born in the U.S. Pretty sure they mixed with immgrants from other regions of It'ly in the old Baltimore melting pot.
