PayPal is reportedly bribing $15 worth of vouchers to account holders to prevent them from canceling their accounts, that only tells you how bad the situation is.
The Gateway Pundit reported that PayPal will begin fining users $2,500 directly from their accounts if they are found to be spreading “misinformation” in its newly updated policy.

PayPal needs your $2,500 because of this...
That is no longer true. eBay is no longer forcing sellers to have PayPal accounts, but they do require you to provide access to a bank account. The money buyers pay goes directly to eBay, and eBay skims off the transaction fees that PayPal used to get. The seller gets the money minus the seller fees and the transaction fees. You can still use PayPal to buy on eBay, but they opened the system up to credit cards, debit cards, systems like ApplePay and GooglePay, gift cards, and the like.
It looks like eBay takes...MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Discover Card.
Also...activate 2-Step sign-in under “Sign in and security”.
Many thanks for the info!
The best way to handle the fat cats; cancel, cancel.
Closed my account 1 hr ago.
Just closed 10 minutes ago. I did not get any $15 offer not to close.
Me neither.
Yep, that’s the process I followed too and I got a message that said I had subscription payments that had to be removed before my account could be closed. Funny thing, I never set up any PayPal subscription payments. They had converted any merchant I used in the past few years to a subscription account.
Just cancelled mine also
Since I closed my account I can no longer check on any balance at paypal. I might have left $5 or $10 in there. Do you think the law requires them to send that to me ? There was no mention at my closing of any amount. Even if I look at the emails then sent each month, those are nothing more than useless links to the paypal account and are now non functional.
I was long overdue to dump them.
$5 or $10 doesn’t matter to me; I’m just glad to be rid of them. I won’t ever go back. Be sure to check your weekly/monthly CC charges, for anything they try to ‘sneak thru’.
What will you use to replace paypal ?
My VISA cards.
I just won’t buy from anyone who requires PP.
