I don’t believe there will be a draft because I believe there is a lack of unity of purpose for those of draftable age, let alone society at large. A large group of people simply won’t serve in a military role.
Maybe there is a place for a non-military service, but even then, I believe a unity of purpose will result in less than favorable results.
If people are not willing to service with very good educational benefits post-discharge that includes tuition, books, BAQ, etc, I find it difficult to imagine that such people can be compelled to military service.

You do understand that the people’s will has nothing to do with it. When the draft has been reinstated in the past it has always been wildly unpopular. Of course, you are aware if you’re drafted and don’t report, you will spent more years in federal prison than you would have in the army.
