I shudder to think what a draft call up would bring, but I’m pretty sure we’ve not seen anything like the masses that would run from service. We have several generations who have never held a rifle, but they are can text like crazy.

If a draft were remobilized, I guarantee the population of Canada would triple almost over night. Just the mere thought of having to listen to someone telling our independent minded children what to do would see them scatter to the four corners of the world.
When I grew up the draft was a fact of life. Today it would be an afterthought. Do we need a draft? NO. Last thing I would want is one of my descendants listening to a woke sermon by Milli Vannilli.
