Life among the coma ghosts in a Korean hospital after a famous heart surgeon is injured and joins them. One of my very favorite Asian dramas! Joey Scarbury wrote the theme for "Greatest American Hero".

"Ghost Doctor" is a Korean drama that shows life among a hospital's coma ghosts after a famous heart surgeon (Rain) joins them. He was attacked and sent into a coma for saving the life of the chairman of a large corporation. The corrupt son of the chairman had other plans for his father's wealth and power. But the son has found another corrupt surgeon to over-medicate his father. Frustrated at his inability to save lives as a ghost, the surgeon learns he can still save lives, including his own, if he enters the body of an incompetent resident doctor (Kim Bum), whose only claim to fame is being the grandson of the owner of the hospital.

Rain and Kim Bum are a good pairing as they are both especially good at physical comedy. It was a fun drama.

One of my favorite moments was probably not scripted. Rain had just been bumped out of the Kim Bum character and was dying on the street. The old surgeon ghost realized what was happening and jumped into the EMT, who then had to pick up Kim Bum to lay him on Rain. I’d noticed Kim Bum was stocky, but really noticed it when the burly EMT looked like he was getting a hernia trying to lift Kim Bum off the ground.

A lot of folks would kill to have a singing voice like Joey Scarbury. Great song I wasn’t aware of it.

I was making a music video for Dr Who to Greatest American Hero and bought an album. Just loved this song, but couldn’t find a show to use it with until this one.
