Also, Biden has the veto power. So even if a GOP Congress passed some bills to deal with issues such as the border, Biden would veto such legislation. No way there would be 2/3 support in Congress to override such vetoes.

Yeah, I think the only benefit to having Republicans in Congress is that they wouldn’t be passing such insane laws for Biden to sign. But then, we’d be at the roadblock of negotiating with the Demonicrats on “must pass” legislation, like the defense authorization bill. Dems would block any standard bill and then blame Republicans for “gridlock” when they weren’t given their way.

All we can hope to do is prevent new garbage from being introduced from the left. But nothing is ever going to actually get accomplished.
