My husband has some homeless stats, and I think you are correct...but mostly they all have issues and letting them camp year round wherever does not solve them.
A comparative analogy. Someone once told me that Veterans, especially disabled Veterans are overwhelming the system. He claimed that there are just too many for the system to care for and help. So nothing can be done about it.
For me the answer was far simple... “Then stop creating Veterans”. This situation is exactly the same thing. We would not have a homeless problem if we would stop creating the homeless.
Cause and effect. We reap what we sow. Shunning and excommunicating them doesn’t fix the source of the problem. It just relocates the problem. Not wanting to see them does not make them any less homeless.
