ghetto kids like these used to be trucked to my neighborhood about an hour from Denver ... magazine and chocolate bar BS ... i don’t answer the door for obvious scams ...
We used to get a kids a couple of times a year from "Da Petah" (Peter Street, a one block ghetto around the corner) trying to raise money for "Ya'll know Raqueem? He got killed and his momma don't have no money for the funeral, can you gib us some moneys?"
Of course I just closed the door without comment, but the requests "Petered" off. I'm pretty sure gentrification and to a larger extent, NAPA predation, and incarceration has thinned the herd quite nicely.
