Yeah, a thorium microreactor about the suze if a softball could power both a home and bevy of vehicles without lithium batteries.

Problem is, the grid and its utility plants go bye-bye and that brings nasty politics and BS scare tactics.

For example, a probable nightly news narrative could be:

“We report tonight that the new affordable thorium micronuclear power pads are toxic to your family pets!”

Then watch sales plummet.

Commonwealth Edison of Illinois was and may still be, the largest employer and land owner in Illinois.

They also kept Mike Madigan the controller of Illinois politics in their back pocket. And he in turn kept many unions in his pocket.

The son of the CEO of ComEd was famous bomber, Bill Ayers.
Somehow the prosecutors made a few errors and Ayers was off the hook!!!
Imagine that!
