I recall about 40 years ago, Hall of Famer Jack Lambert was quoted as saying “pretty soon they’ll have the quarterbacks wearing skirts.” Nobody took offense, he was just commenting on some rules changes about protecting the passer. How swiftly politics degenerates culture.
