Building guns straight from our dreams, the designers, and engineers at KelTec fascinate us once again with the recent release of the P50 5.7x28mm pistol. Centered around the FN P90 magazine, the P50 features everything you love (or hate) about KelTec. A lot of polymer, stamped metal, exposed screws, high-cap magazines, and loads of fun. The P50 comes standard with a hard plastic carrying case and two ProMag 50 round magazines. A nylon strap with quick detach swivel hardware is also included.

Ruh Roh! Comes with 2 50rd mags! Yikes. Interesting mechanicals. Some folks love Kel-Tec, others not so much. When we were still in FLA our neighbor worked at their facility. Christmas = weapon or the employees choosing. At least back then. Sounds like a lib nightmare. 😎👌

A friend of mine loves his KT PMR pistol and CMR carbine.
30 rounds of 22 Mag, interchangeable mags.
But rimfire reliability would always be an issue.

"Christmas = weapon or the employees choosing. " Well that sounds cool. One would be sure to find something that one would like.
Don't look a gift horse in the mouth, y'know?

I’m thinking KT will soon come out with a carbine version, like they did with the CMR 22 mag.

The KelTec P50 Carbine kit comes with folding stock and 16 inch barrel. The molded grip has a cutout for the stock to fit flush with the frame. Release date TBD. (Photo by Moondog Industries)

For a limited number of years KelTek offered a similar compact chambered in .40 and I got my hands on one for dirt cheap. The action is downright primitive but I’ve gotten used to it and really like it for summer carry.

Every Kel-Tec I ever shot was junk. But I have friends who own them and say they have no issues.

I had an early PMR 30 but it was a picky eater. CCI maxi mags or V mags were the only rounds you could use to avoid FTF issues. It throws a 12 inch muzzle flash and is louder than a you know what. Maybe the newer models have the bugs worked out. I sold mine and got a Ruger SR22. Much more reliable. But Keltec makes a lot of interesting stuff.

I also used to have a Taurus PT-22. Smaller and even more concealable -
but the thing was just too small for my hand - so I sold it.

My EDC is the 9mm version. Cheap, disposable, perfect.

KelTec P3AT. A .380 pocket pistol with extended mag. Love it.

I spent a day at the range with a buddy’s Sub-2000 and that sucker couldn’t make it through a mag without a jam. It was 1st Gen and i’ve heard the 2nd Gens are more reliable. But my faith was shaken
