Good morning! It’s starting to feel like the end of the growing season around here. Yesterday I harvested the last of the tomatoes, 4 scrawny ones. They weren’t fully ripe, yet, but we were supposed to have a frost last night, so I figured it was time. They weren’t going to get any bigger, just ripen.
Anyway, it is a sunny but chilly start to the day here. I have some yard clean up to do. Better get to it, I guess.
Still picking (and eating) about a couple dozen cherry tomatoes a week from “volunteer” plants which grew in the garden which is getting a rest this year after 6-7 years of planting, thank God. This is can continue until the first frost, which in Eastern MA sometimes does not occur until Nov.
