I don’t doubt that the left is planning to take children from homes that don’t meet wokeness standards. I just wonder how many parents would consider that to be the line in the sand.

It Takes a Village (to Dehumanize a Child)

Since Cain first plied Eve's inland sea,
Succored within safe harbor's care,
All mothers' wombs guard tenderly
A human race God places there.
Connatural linkage by His plan
Ensures the faithful teeming births.
Codes wrought upon the hearts of man
Proclaim our hatching worth!

That being said, let us suppose
A bund was formed to break that link,
To frame the fetuses as foes,
Cut mothers' chains, or so they'd think.
Unbridled men could slack the urge,
Unrivaled now to romp and quest.
Commandments from the Village purged:
Codes wrought, the bund will wrest!

First, law must bend to this great goal.
Penumbra's realm the scholars scour,
Find privacy but not a soul -
From law to license transfer power.
Then legalmen and statesmen seed
The Village township's Nat'ural field.
New laws, new mores, and new creeds
Choke off the age-old yields!

Next, Village healers will be cured
Of mired ethics, ancient oaths,
The line 'twixt bloke and buzzard blurred.
Detach the conscience from its throes
When resi'dents in the charnel house
With razor, rasper, brine are trained
That choice deigns tissue life or louse:
Will cannot be constrained!

With law and science dociled dumb,
Then straight the Zeitgeist winds reverse,
To titilate plebians numb.
Shows libertine and arts perverse,
The lech and strumpet song and dance,
From the Heaviside layer beamed,
The young inflamed, the old enhanced:
Massage and med'ium teamed!

The Village square, the Church might hold?
What of this bulwark cornerstone?
Alas, too few wear clerics bold,
Scant laymen touched to marrowbone.
Enlightened Gospel draws the line
'Tween od'ious witness, unvexed laud,
Convenience grafted on divine:
"Tut tut! It's not outlawed!"

A baldichin of maple trees
Still shade and soothe the Village square.
The laughter swooshes on the breeze
Of children's impert'inent pleasure there.
Beneath the square a crypt obtains,
Inscribed upon the door, in guile:
"It Takes A Village," so it deigns,
"To dehum'anize a child!"
