I was in Las Vegas last weekend and I saw no price cuts you reference. I stayed at a resort hotel where they were charging $150 just to get a pool chair that had an umbrella for some shade! “Free” (well, a $44/day resort fee) chairs were in the full sun.
(I had a GREAT time in Las Vegas though. Saw shows and exhibits and ate and drank well.)
RIP to the dead and I hope the others recover. So sad.
The prices have gone back up but there are still a number of low-lifes cruising the Strip (although not as much as a year ago.
