Ford also had a oddly positive even supportive relationship with early Bolshevik Russia. He built several truck\car plants and during the Great Terror several of his engineers ended up in the Gulag. One (maybe others!) made it back to the US, he’s mentioned by Solzhenitsyn in the book Gulag Archipelago. There was also a movie call “From Out of the Ice” that told the story of a son of such Ford employee family that stayed.
