If the power outage is caused by EMP they will all be rendered useless. Well, so will gas powered vehicles for the most part. A large EMP attack will also fry crucial electronic components in all but the oldest vehicles.

It will but gas powered vehicles are easier to fix in this type of attack. The EV electric motor components will fuse.

Yep, and the only vulnerable electronics in my ‘37 Chev pickup (besides the stereo) is the regulator circuit for my alternator. Fortunately I have spare parts in a Faraday cage storage container.
