For the cost of that damn McDonald’s meal, buy some bread and peanut butter, maybe some milk. The ease of fast food has turned many into idiots. It’s one thing to have it once in a while. But some seem intent on having it often, if not daily.

Cut the legs from the thighs to equal 20 pieces and bake or boil. If the skin is taken off the thighs, it can be fried/baked into cracklings for a little extra treat and the fat off them along with any fat from baking can be used to carefully pan fry some legs. The boiled pieces will yield stock. Boil all the bones for more stock and pick the meat off. Add all the drippings to the “free” stock as that’s flavor.
Drain the veg liquid for “free” veg broth and save out a bit of each can and/or save every leftover. Combine with chicken stock and that’s soup for extra meals.
Use the pepper for seasoning and save the seeds to plant next spring.
