Sadly, a married black couple is a rarity. I had the same conversation with another friend. I asked why he didn’t wear a ring. He said they decided they don’t need external symbols to show their dedication.
I said that’s true, but with the lack of stable families in the black community, your wedding ring is an example to others.
I haven’t seen him since that conversation but I he he’s wearing a ring.
