I don’t care for rap but I do see that every generation thinks there music (culture) is the best and everything else is crap. In 10 years rap will be thought of as “old folks” music and something else will have taken its place.

It used to be that way but the younger generations these days seem to favor the music of their parents, in particular the classic rock era.

Both my sons are into classic rock bands like Boston, Journey, Rush and Steely Dan. All their music came out before they were even born.

I cannot say that I ever listened to the music of my parents like they listen to mine.
