Not necessarily. Check any AFib forum and you’ll find plenty of young people discussing their AFib.

BTW, AFib is MORE prevalent among elite athletes so it’s not surprising to see a young athlete with it. It’s common among rowers, for example.

The heart was not designed to be continually pushed to the edge the way these athletes push it. The result is AFib.

I’m 65. When I played during the seventies steroids were starting to emerge among players. Before them you could still be a 270 lb offensive tackle and excel in college and the pros.
