That was hard to watch.
I’m 65. When I played during the seventies steroids were starting to emerge among players. Before them you could still be a 270 lb offensive tackle and excel in college and the pros.
I think the guy that slammed Tua was 340 lbs.
I met Tony Boselli at TPC Sawgrass. I couldn’t believe how huge he was. His head, wrists, and everything about his frame was enormous. I think he played around 340 lbs. He looked much better after retirement. Looked like he was down to 280 or so.
