Very doubtful a "bolt from the blue" massive attack would happen. That is a 1982 mindset. If it did, it would be counter force attack (silos, LCCs, SSBN shipyards, WSAs, Pantex, Y-12, Oak, Ridge, Lawrence Livermore, NNSA facility at former Richards-Gabauer AFBV, UP rail yard junctions and repair facilities, runways over 7000 ft (definately Whiteman, Dyess, Barksdale, and Minot AFB), etc.

Russia will "probably" not do a counter value (cities) attack. Some cities may be hit but only as they are either nuke producing (Amarillo), nuke holding (Albuquerque), nuke mfg (plants listed above), and Union Pacific switching stations and repair depots...(KCMO, North Little Rock, AR, etc). If we flush our bombers you may see groundburst over large international (and intranational) airports if their runways are over 7000 ft.

After the attack, Russia HAS to keep lots of nukes in reserve. Why? Well, they still want deterance over France, UK, Israel, India, and their enemy, China, whose majority of nukes are SRBM/MRBM and aimed at Russia.

Its a numbers game.....and I ain't worried. Nukes could possibly be considered obsolete.

“Nukes could possibly be considered obsolete.”

You do plan to put that on your tombstone, right?

;-)
