Well, dinodino, you might want to take the time to watch the video, which can be accessed through the article.

While watching that video you will see that he has a 240v charger and that it would take 24hrs to charge. He shows it. Clear as day.

With regards to damaging the battery at 100% charge, WTF does that mean? Buy a car because you’re GREEN. Charge using electricity made at a fossil fueled power plant. But don’t charge it all the way, because you’ll damage the battery that you just paid an obscene amount of money for. Only charge to 90% and you’ll get even less driving time. But, if you do charge it to 100% and wear out the battery sooner, you’ll have to drop as much as you paid for the car for the new battery. Hmmmmm.

Sounds like a bargain.

I don’t let my lithium cells get above 90% or below 20% charge.. roughly... they should outlast me.

I’m also careful to never charge them if they are near to or below freezing.

I watched the video, and the guy is an idiot. We don’t know what amperage he’s got on the charging circuit, and he’s charging to 100%, which you normally only do on rare occasion while on a road trip.
