This is not a Russia vs Ukraine war.

We fomented a revolution/coup in 2014, caused a civil war and sided with the neo-Nazis and Ukrainian nationalists that wanted to exterminate the ethnic Russian population.

Then we encouraged Ukraine to ignore the Minsk Agreement it signed that would have brought peace to the region.

We armed Ukraine with offensive weapons, teased Ukraine NATO membership and opened biological weapons labs there.

And finally, when Russia responded to all that, we claimed they invaded Ukraine for no good reason to annex territory.

Leaving aside the obvious point that Fiona Hill is not a credible unbiased resource for anything. She was instrumental in trying to take down Trump with the impeachment hearings and she has been a big proponent of backing corrupt Ukraine all the way back to the 2014 coup d’etat; there is a bigger, more interesting issue here. There is a a worldwide transformation going on which Putin is at the forefront on.
