An Independent is the same as a Democrat.
Actually not usually true.
Because Republicans are the more “independent” thinkers, more likely to walk away from the party. Dems will stick lock-step to their brethren.

Currently... But this can be fixed. And I think it is a very viable way to fix all this crap.
It started Conservative, and needs to be taken over and returned to common sense Conservative.
And it could be done in two years before then next Presidential election.
Independent is a candidate so bad that even though he belongs to the Dems they wont claim them. They will share in the graft however

I think that used to be the case most of the time in years past. Nowadays, the GOP has shown how many RINOs there are in the party. For some, the GOP isn’t conservative enough, and has ****ed them off enough to register as an independent. They don’t vote Democrat, but they are SICK AND TIRED of the GOP betrayals, like Liz Cheney, among others.
