These films make me feel the is not much difference between what the movie going public in China and the USA want.
If this film was remade starring Mark Wahlberg leading a group of marines it would be a hit here.
The main problem is Hollywood is so woke it only rarely makes those types of films, even if they would make money.
Of course the commonality in what people of any nations “want” is that it so easily engineered by elites with media control who tailor what people “want” to suit an agenda.
If it were hyped, like "woke" gets hyped and the majority of people continue to love it.
