Since there was never a ‘god’ Hercules I take it the statue was sculpted from a male model.
Was every statue of Hercules different? Did they try to make them all look like some idea of what Hercules, and I’m speaking of his facial likeness here, what Hercules looked like?
I wonder when they stopped believing in Hercules?
