For well over a year and a half, US/NATO has had an ASW/Anti-Mine warfare training event scheduled in Portugal.
Not necessarily so significant in the run-up, the Portugal event WAS KNOWN IN ADVANCE, as a window of draw down on NATO’s North Atlantic, North Sea, and Baltic ASW/Anti-mine surface hunters and monitoring.

If US and NATO is so bad ass , why didn’t they stop these pipelines from being blown up ?
