What would you do?
(“And what in your comfortable urban life has ever prepared you for that decision?”)
Just a great scene from James Burke's Connections Series 1, Episode 1.
I highly recommend you watch the show. It is old (50 years old!)but it is insightful.

I would vote “Connections” as the best series I have watched.
The entire series was brilliant. I watched it religiously when it was on PBS back when PBS actually made shows worth watching.
Sadly those days are long, long gone.

One of the best TV shows of all times.
Adored that show during my youth.
Loved this show as a kid...Still do.
Yep I loved it. Watched it in high school
That was an excellent show. And a very depressing clip...
I had never heard of this show, thank you! I’ll play it for my kids tomorrow night!

Unless you have a plow! And forty acres, and a mule. :-)
Modern Technological Society + EMP = Back to the plow and oxen
Makes me think we really need Trump and we really need him to go full mercantilist.
The US has everything it needs to be self-sustaining: food, energy, technology, etc. The only downside is that it will cost us more to produce then having much of it done in sh!+ holes.
Always very enjoyable
Era Gawd. One of ThE Best shows ever
Watch em all
I carried the book around a lot in HS too.
It drove my dingbat history teacher nuts.
Connections is still a favorite of mine.
