Honestly, I don't remember being fed fatty fish on anything other than an occasional basis in my adolescent years. My poor mom was busy with 4 children, pretty closely aged, and convenience in getting us fed was the priority. Thus, I'm sure quick, nutrient-poor convenience foods were mostly what we were offered.
I'm fairly smart, but wonder how much more I'd have accomplished if I had gotten a better diet.
