In the Revelation to John the painful sores outbreaking on folks but them not repenting comes to mind when I read of poofters talking like that.
There’s a lot going on in Revelations that seems to be going on in the world today. Many think we’re in the ‘last days’ - if so, as a person of faith, I’m good with that because I know how it ends - God ‘wins’.
